Race 1: Cape Grim Beef Plate 2000m

Night’s Watch (1st) settled at the rear, peeled widest around the turn, let down well to get up in the last stride, good effort. The Chairman (2nd) sat outside the leader, gave a good kick, and kept responding late. Golden Mane (3rd) box seated and battled on strongly in the straight.

 

Race 2: Ladbrokes Blue Diamond Preview (C&G) 1000m

Long Leaf (1st) settled just off the speed, peeled out on straightening, sprinted well, and held them off with ease, very nice type. Ollivander (2nd) settled towards rear, peeled out in straight and copped interference, kept hitting line, good run. Run Naan (3rd) settled at rear and hit the line well late.

 

Race 3: Ladbrokes Blue Diamond Preview (Fillies) 1000m

Lady Horseowner (1st) settled towards the rear, got a lovely run slicing through the field, picked up well late to score. Crossing the Abbey (2nd) had a nice run just off the speed, battled on well in the straight. Oohood (3rd) settled towards rear, never got clear air till late when attacked the line strongly.

 

Race 4: Blue Diamond Gala Dinner Plate 1100m

On pace dominated. Holy Seal (1st) led, gave a great kick around the turn, was well clear before knocking up late, just held on. Smart Coupe (2nd) sat outside the leader/winner, looked to only be battling, knuckled down late to just miss. Lady Magnus (3rd) sat behind the speed and battled on well.

 

Race 5: Ladbrokes Odds Boost Handicap 1400m

Runson (1st) had a nice run just off the speed, peeled out on the turn, let down well and was too strong late. Epic Moment (2nd) led, gave a good kick, winner just too strong late. Notio (3rd) settled towards rear, ran on strongly late.

 

Race 6: Michael McMahon Plate 1400m

Jester Halo (1st) had a lovely run midfield, peeled out in the straight and let down well to take over and win well. Sharing (2nd) settled at the rear and hit the line strongly late. Mamzelle Tess (3rd) sat on the speed, gave a great kick, top two just stronger late.

 

Race 7: Ladbrokes Info Hub Handicap 1400m

Cao Cao (1st) led and have a great kick around the turn to put them away, won eased up, never in doubt. Necessary (2nd) sat just behind the speed, peeled out and battled on well enough. Barbeque (3rd) settled at rear and made ground in the straight.

 

Race 8: John Dillon Stakes 1400m

Tshahitsi (1st) led, gave a good kick around the turn, fought on strongly late to hold them off with ease. Dollar for Dollar (2nd) was caught wide on speed throughout, loomed up, couldn’t catch the winner but battled on well. Wyndspelle (3rd) sat behind the speed and battled on well in the straight.

 

Race 9: Ladbrokes Open Handicap 1700m

Morton’s Fork (1st) was heavily backed, sat off a strong speed, peeled out in straight and showed a great sprint to put them away in a few strides, bolted in. Plot the Course (2nd) and Khutulun (3rd) both settled towards the rear and made ground in the straight but didn’t get close to the winner.
