FAQs - Dean's Tips

FAQs - Dean's Tips

We've had a flurry of queries regarding the service so thought we would summarise some of the most common queries and their answers below:

Who provides the selections?
Dean the Trial Spy, who has made his selections available to a restricted number of members for nearly 4 years. Prior to this Dean was independently ranked #1 on a public tipping websites pitted against hundreds of professional, media and amateur tipsters. Dean has been featured on RSN radio and numerous webinars and podcasts in the racing industry for his innovative, revolutionary and incredibly successful contrarian approaches to form assessment.

How are the selections sent?
Selections are sent to members via e-mail, SMS and in their exclusive members area.

What information is provided with each bet?
Every tip is sent with all of the information you require to place the bet quickly and easily, including:
- Track Name
- Race Number
- Time of the race
- Horse Number
- Horse Name
- Odds available on the horse
- Bet Type (win, place etc)
- How much to stake/invest (in units)

Advice on whether the horse is likely to firm in the market (so take best available fixed price in the market) or not
Which bookmaker will be used to record the 'official' price per the odds recording methodology

What do members say about the service?
Check out the some of the testimonials provided by our happy, long-term members here and here.

How are official results recorded?
Many services do not publicise their odds recording methodology, and effectively record results however they like; an easy way to artificially inflate unachievable results. Other services don't even publish their results online, but sometimes make them available 'on request' by direct e-mail (does that sound reliable, verifiable or trustworthy to you?).

Dean asked all of his members in a survey how they believed results should be recorded, which you can read here.

They advised results should align with the betting advice given, and be achievable. When the results came in, Dean went with a methodology even more conservative than what was proposed by his members. The odds recording methodology is explained here.

Are the official results recorded achievable?
The link here provides 10 ways to beat the official results. But don't take our word for it. Here are just a selection of unsolicited e-mails we received in the office THIS WEEK regarding Dean's Tips service (initials only provided to protect their betting accounts):

SH: Anyway, keep up the good work mate, August was huge - a testament to the time and care you put into ever evolving your ratings. By far the best (and fairest) tips service available and your efforts are always much appreciated...the official results that you record are the fairest I've experienced.

JP: You're a wizard Dean, plain and simple. Hope you're feeling refreshed after your time off. Looking forward to more good times in the spring.

TC: Just wanted to drop you an email to say well done this month! Results were just amazing. Looks like your break was well worth it and seems to me like you are being more selective than before (especially on Saturdays) which might be one of the reasons behind such a strong month. Looking forward to the upcoming Spring carnival and hopefully alot more winners!

PH: Stellar results since you got back into the swing of things. Well done!

JB: Well that was sensational!! What a great day. Fantastic tipping. Thanks for a very profitable month. I increased my staking to $100 units on Friday as my bank had grown substantially over the month and with no return on Friday was thinking bad timing but I’m really happy I stuck with it.

JP: Deano - you're on fire! Nice work today bud. Unfortunately I got my Bet365 account severely restricted on Friday otherwise I would have made more today. My new bookie is already bleeding....lol.

SW: As fair as it gets.

Do you guarantee your service?
Absolutely. We are so confident in the profitability of Dean's Tips that we provide a profit guarantee for all our Quarterly or Annual memberships. If our results don't show a profit over the term of your subscription, you don't pay for your next subscription. But you won't be needing it, considering the service has made a profit 12
months in a row.

So what are the profits?
Well the average bet size over the past 12 months has been 0.45 units. Which means if you bet $100 per unit, your average bet is only $45.
Using that methodology, over the past 12 months, you would have made a profit of $35,820.
For those that like their stats, the Profit On Turnover was 17.46%, and the Return on Investment 359.9%
That's not a misprint. Try finding that sort of return with any legitimate Stock Advisory Service, let alone a Horse Racing or Sports Betting service.

And in case you're wondering about the sample size, there have been 4,403 separate investments over that period.

In 2016 alone you would have made $16,605 profit.

Last month you would have made $9,535 profit.

In fact the Dean's Tips service has made an average profit of $2,999 per month over the past year.

Do you do a free trial?
Technically No. And the reason is three-fold:

1) Our members pay good money to receive the exclusive information. It would be completely unfair to them to allow anyone to join at no cost, not only because they would be getting a free ride, but also because it was negatively impact the odds of the horses we back, so would be screwing our members two-fold. So although without doubt we would get a lot more subscriptions, we don't do it on principle.

2) We don't need to. We have been in business nearly 4 years, and are completely open, honest and transparent in everything we do, which is rare in this industry. We haven't had to pay to advertise, and rely essentially on word of mouth.

3) We don't mean to be rude, but given our track record, someone asking for a free trial probably isn't the type
of customer who will succeed anyway. A betting bank is required, and someone expecting access to Australia's most trusted and profitable horse racing service for free may not have the right mindset to succeed.

However we did say 'technically no'. And that's because we believe everyone who signs up effectively gets a free trial. In fact they get paid to trial ! The monthly cost is $287, and the average monthly profit over the past 12 months has been $2,999. We'll let you do the maths, but considering the service hasn't had a single losing month in the past 12 months, you should expect to be pretty safe if you choose to trial the service for a month.

We do however have a weekly option at $147, and a Saturday only option for $100, if you just want to dip your toes in and see how the water feels (FYI it's a lavish Jacuzzi with massaging bubble jets.....that prints money).
