Gordon Richards Preview
Blackbook Bets analyst Lachlan Mosley sat down with in-form trainer Gordon Richards on Thursday afternoon and got some comments regarding his two state attack this weekend. Gordon's stable is in a rich vein of form with plenty of metropolitan wins in Adelaide as well as Charossa, Garner and Gytrash flying the flag in Melbourne.

Richards says "got caught at the rear in a slowly run race and was never really a factor. Gets to the outer track here where he is better suited and a senior takes over. Should settle closer to the speed with some pace on and look a chance in the straight"
Morphettville R5 (Hill Smith Stakes 1800m) #3 SOWPODS

Richards says: "He got caught back in a muddling run race which was leader dominated last start. He tried hard but he's a horse that needs genuine tempo and should get that here. He's on trial over the 1800m and while we are confident he will get the trip, we will have to wait and see. It's a strong race".

Richards says " He will be suited by the 1200m here and will appreciate getting on the outer track. He was a touch slow away last start and got stuck behind a pack. He hit the line really well when it was all over. He's ticking over well and i'm expecting a very good run on the outer surface. Ryan Hurdle has had early success with the horse so it's a good partnership Saturday.

Richards Says "Won over this trip last start carrying the big weight. He will really appreciate the sting out of the ground and it's not an overly strong race. He's never raced better and I'm expecting him to be fighting out the finish"
