Morphettville Parks Preview 1-Sep-18

Track – Currently Rated Good 4

Rail – +6m 1000m – WP, +4m Remainder

Race 1: Sabois 3YO BM 70 Handicap 1250m

Farooq resumes, has been given a soft trial, finds a suitable race here, looks the class runner. Murless comes here from Victoria after contesting some nice races, maps well here. Swing It Sister was very impressive in easier grade last start, can go on with it here.

Tough race to kick off the day, staying out.

Race 2: Steeple 3500m

No interest here.

Race 3: Sabois + BM82 Handicap 2250m

The Statesman was a strong winner last start, hard fit now and looks to find another winnable race, maps well. Wee Gilly was a strong winner last start and there has been some good form out of the race, big chance here. Mr Sheridan was pretty dominant winning last start, can go on with it here.

1 unit – Wee Gilly @ $5

Race 4: Hurdle 3200m

No interest here.

Race 5: BM 75 Handicap 1000m

Holy Seal resumes, has jumped out well, goes well fresh and finds a winnable race here. Won Ball looks to have some talent, was OK first up, can improve here. Fancy Rumble is a honest sprinter, will get back here and be hitting the line well late.

Holy Seal on top but no betting interest.

Race 6: BM 75 Handicap 1250m

I Am Queen was solid enough in a good race 1st up for the Bussiton yard after coming from New Zealand, looks to get a soft lead here and will be hard to catch. Éclair Calling is an honest type resuming, has had two trials leading up to this, with any luck in the run, he will be hard to hold out late. Miss Identified and Vieira can both run well at odds.

Many queries, staying out.

Race 7: Penny Edition Stakes 1400m

Widgee Turf is flying, was very good last start in a very strong race, gets a positive jockey change here, will go back from the wide barrier and be charging at them late. Theanswermyfriend had the track bias to suit last week and there looks much more pressure here, winning chance but unders. Hard Empire is flying since coming to the Jolly stable, settles on speed here and will give them something to catch.

2 units – Widgee Turf @ $2.70

Race 8: BM 70 Handicap 1400m

Moghul Empire was a strong winner last start but gets a big negative jockey change here and the map looks very tricky, looks unders. Czechoslovakia is 1st up here for the Bussiton stable coming over from New Zealand, has trialled well enough, market watch. Tan Tat Trusting drops back to the more suitable 1400m here and the blinkers go back on, with some luck can settle just off the speed and prove hard to hold out late. Mo Femme was very good in her first prep, resumes here and will be better over further but the 1400m is fine 1st up, looks good speed here, she will be charging at them late.

0.5 units – Mo Femme @ $9.50

1 unit – Tan Tat Trusting @ $6
