Race 1: Twilight Races – 15^th December Handicap 1250m

Tan Tat Flame comes here in good form coming out of some nice races, steps up to the 1250m which must be some query, Kah on a massive positive. Dexter you Devil is flying and is proven at the distance, I think its last start win was only in an average race, must step up here again but is right in this. My Bad resumes and is a market watch.

Looks a two horse race but can’t split them, staying out.

Race 2: Pridal Services 3YO Maiden Plate 1300m

Made in Russia did a good job on debut behind a smart one, then had every chance in what I thought was an average race last start and was disappointing, drops back to the 1300m here which looks to suit, also gets Kah but the price looks skinny. Hollywood Vine is a Smerdon debutant, impossible to line up. Suplex City is racing consistently but don’t like horses so deep into their first preparation.

Race 3: Horsman’s Plumbing & Gas Handicap 1250m

Good race. Sudden Wealth was impressive when winning first up two weeks back, should take improvement from the run and has won second up in the past, will need luck as he will most likely be last in the run. Have Another Glass is a talented type resuming off a long break, big market watch. Chapel City is racing well and must be respected here. Its form might not be good enough, but Meridian Star looks to get a soft lead here and could pinch it.

Race 4: Holdfast Insurance Handicap 1400m

Ozi Choice was good last week at Ballarat here, on the back up here in an easier race, it just depends if last weeks run on the wet track has taken much out of him. Federal Court is racing very well, will be on the speed and be amongst the finish. Spy Decoder seems to be going well and can do something here.

Tricky race, staying out.

Race 5: The Black Doddy Handicap 1950m

Rib Eye comes through Victorian races, this looks much easier and must be respected. Have Plenty comes back to its favourite track/distance scenario, will be amongst the finish but is struggling to win. Get the Picture also comes from Victoria and is hard to line up. Danouli is an honest type.

The Victorian visitors make this race very hard to have any confidence in.

Race 6: UBET Handicap 2250m

Exalted Lightning won well two back at Gawler before being outclassed in Victoria last week, take on trust. Flying Casino is a very strange horse, is always flashing home but struggles to win. Zolotoi is one I thought could do something here at odds.

This race looks impossible.

Race 7: Adelaide Hills Wine Race Day – 9^th December Handicap 1000m

Mystified is a nice type who went well when resuming 3 weeks back, if the stable elects to run here she must be respected. Itz Invincible is a nice type is resuming, should lead here and if he is ready to go can prove very hard to catch. Thought Invincible Al had favours when winning at Moonee Valley first up and maps awkward here. Irish Mint is an honest on pace who looks big odds.

Once again, a very tricky race, staying out.

Race 8: The Junction Handicap 1400m

Embecee Lil is a talented type, looks very well suited here, the 4 weeks off does concern me but could simply be too good for this lot. Lord Topper did a good job when winning first up, can go on with it here. Enki is a consistent type, looks to be going well but struggles to win. Something More can improve with the blinkers going on.
