Race 1: Alan Sheppard Construction 2YO Handicap 1000m

Mostly debutants here to kick off the day and as I have said in the past, these are races I don’t like to get involved in. Out of the raced brigade, Schilldora did a solid job on debut behind Be My Star who looks to have some ability.

No betting interest, staying out.

Race 2: Thomas Farms Kitchen Handicap 1250m

Go The Journey didn’t jump too well first up and had to work to find the lead, got taken on and fought on well in the straight before tiring late, should come on well from that effort, goes well second up and if he jumps here should get a soft lead. Exalted Adam is flying, was far from disgraced in the Goodwood last week and gets Kah back on, must be respected. Chamois Road is as honest as they come, resumes here, looks to map well, and must be respected.

Race 3: The Seppeltsfield Handicap 1250m

Comfortable has been racing well since coming over from NSW to the Balfour stable, finds a suitable race here, should lead and give them something to catch. French Rock has been racing well without winning, ran into the smart Diamond Tycoon last start, must be respected here. Good Luck Chuck is an honest type, finds a race with little depth here, maps well.

Tough race, staying out.

Race 4: Australian Made Advantage Handicap 1550m

Ancient Echoes has been racing well in Victoria, had excuses last start where nothing went right, gets the blinkers applied here and has won here in the past, finds a race with little depth, and looks hard to beat. Beau’s My Boy has been racing well, must step up here but can lead and give a good sight. A Little Chunky is not the worst at odds.

Race 5: Lexus of Adelaide Handicap 1000m

Showpero is as consistent as they come, resumes here, and looks to find a suitable race, Kah takes the ride, deserved favourite. White Kaps was fair when resuming, can improve here second up back to the parks track where he races well. Magnus Knight had a raced very well last prep, resumes here, and finds a winnable race, goes well fresh.

Many queries here, staying out.

Race 6: McMahon Services Handicap 1950m

Gracena is flying, finds a winnable race here and looks to map well, can’t knock a mare in form. I thought Lady Silhouette was in for a good prep, but she hasn’t been racing too well, faces a drop in grade here and can be a big improver. Dance of Heroes was a comfortable winner last start at Gawler, gets Kah on and you can’t knock winning form in a race like this with little depth.

Tough race, no betting interest.

Race 7: Resource Co Handicap 1300m

Lady of Crebilly went very well when resuming, has won second up in the past and finds a winnable race, will have to go well back from the barrier which looks some concern around the parks track. Diamond Tycoon looks a talented type on the up, must step up again here which looks a big task, looks unders. True Myth was good when winning last start, can go on with it here.

Lady of Crebilly on top but no interest in the price on offer, staying out.

Race 8: Hughes Limousines Handicap 1400m

Silentz comes here for the Weir camp and looks a talented type on the up, finds a winnable race here and must be respected. Pluckit is flying, finds another winnable race here, the barrier looks a concern though. Lord Topper is an honest type, should get a nice run on the speed here and can give a sight. Beautiful Flyer is not the worst at odds.
