Race 1: Benchmark 75 Handicap 1250m

Hard Empire is flying this prep, strong win last start, should come across from the wide barrier here to sit on the speed and give them something to catch. Mystified is going OK, wins rarely but finds a suitable race here, looks unders but must be respected. Will be surprised if one of the two don’t win.

Race 2: Benchmark 82 Handicap 1400m

Hussy’s Glow is racing well, needs luck with her racing pattern, small field suits here, if there’s any speed on she will be charging at them late. Embecee Lil is a nice type, had no luck last start, loves the Parks track and a soft track, should get a nice run just off the speed. Modulate is honest as they come, finds another winnable race here and maps well.

Race 3: Benchmark 82 Handicap 1950m

Zebrinz comes out of some solid Melbourne races, there is little depth here, will go back and be strong late. Igitur ran an improved race last start, has to be given a chance in a race of this nature. More Than Fabulous drops back from 2400m, hard fit and will be strong late.

A race with little depth, staying out.

Race 4: Sabois 3YO Maiden Plate 1000m

No opinion here with mainly debutants.

Race 5: Flying Handicap 1000m

Nasdex is a speedy type resuming here, won first up last prep and finds a winnable race here, won’t get it his own way up front though with Ogunde in the race. Showpero is flying this prep, outclassed in a very strong race last start, suited here. Counter Pulse is an honest sprinter, should be up towards the speed here and run well.

Tough race, staying out.

Race 6: Benchmark 70 Handicap 1550m

Laure Me In was poor last start, should land on the speed here and finds a winnable race, if he can reproduce his run from two back he will be hard to beat here. Extreme Witness is racing well and is on the short back up here, maps well. Rupture is a talented type but has been very plain in both runs this prep, needs to improve but wouldn’t surprise.

Race 7: Benchmark 64 Handicap 1000m

Domination was very good when winning first up, finds a race here with little depth and maps well just off the speed, I think he wins again. Akkacan is honest but rarely wins, will race on the speed and be amongst the finish. Callisto Girl resumes, did enough last prep, gets a soft run from the inside barrier.

Race 8: Benchmark 64 Handicap 1300m

Fleeting Feeling had no luck first up when caught wide, can show big improvement here in a race with little depth. Bolt I Am went well last start, goes back here and should be strong late. Exalted Lauretta is an honest type, will be on the speed here and can give a good sight. L’amarybelle is not the worst at odds.
