Race 1: Medallion Homes Handicap 1000m

Enbihaar (1st) sat outside the leader, only looked to be battling but knuckled down strongly late to score. Chicago Typewriter (2nd) led, gave a good kick on straightening, winner was too strong late but still fought on well. Aristocratic Miss (3rd) was a heavily backed odds on favourite and was disappointing.

 

Race 2: Hughes Limousines Handicap 1000m

Avanti Rose (1st) box seated, got out in the straight and knuckled down well late to score. White Kaps (2nd) led and gave a great kick, battled on well but the winner was too strong late. Wallace Street (3rd) sat outside the leader and battled on well enough in the straight.

 

Race 3: Holdfast Insurance Handicap 1550m

Scratchy Lass (1st) settled towards the rear on the rails, looked to be struggling on the turn, peeled to outside and let down strongly, flying. Star Fortune (2nd) led and gave a great kick on straightening, winner too strong late. Jim’s Journey (3rd) made ground in the straight.

 

Race 4: UBET Handicap 1950m

Exalted Lightning (1st) brought the field up to the tearaway leader in the run and was travelling strongly, let down well to put them away, flying. Flow Meter (2nd) had a nice run midfield on the rails, ran on well in the straight. Spy Decoder (3rd) led and stuck on well late.

 

Race 5: James Boag’s Premium Handicap 1300m

Miss Wahoo (1st) box seated, let down well when a gap appeared, was clearly headed but fought on strongly to score. Freehearted (2nd) had a lovely run just off the speed, let down well to hit the lead but winner too strong late. Betalyk (3rd) settled last and hit the line strongly late.

 

Race 6: Schweppes Handicap 1400m

Lord Topper (1st) came across to sit outside the leader, travelled strongly and let down well, managed to hold them all off late, tough horse. Rowdy Richard (2nd) had a nice run midfield, ran on strongly late. Baker’s Dozen (3rd) had a perfect run, ran on well late but had favours.

 

Race 7: Holdfast Insurance Handicap 1000m

Mile High (1st) sat outside the leader, travelled strongly on the turn, and let down well late to score, much too good. Meridian Star (2nd) showed good speed to lead, kicked around the turn, winner just too strong late. Tempting Faith (3rd) had a nice run in transit and battled on well enough in the straight.

 

Race 8: Meegs and Rorz Get Hitched Handicap 1250m

Battlecamp (1st) settled towards the rear, only looked to be battling but knuckled down strongly late to score in the last stride, good return. Brugal Reward (2nd) box seated, let down well and hit the lead before being grabbed in the last stride. Mystified (3rd) was heavily backed, sat outside the leader, let down well enough but knocked up late.
