Morphettville Parks Review 25-Nov-17

Race 1: Advanced Transport Refrigeration & Air Conditioning HCP 1400m

Phelps Glory (1st) got control up front and held on to win, showed some fight. Shrouded in Mist (2nd) had its chance on speed. The other two were in a bumping duel for most of the straight, bunched finish, looks an average form race.

Race 2: Doug & Pat Brown 65 Yr Anniversary 3YO Maiden Plate 1000m

Rushwa (1st) came across from the barrier to sit on the speed, was there to be run down in the straight but showed good fight to hold on. Kabini (2nd) was caught three wide on speed and has fought on very well, won’t be a maiden for much longer. Modulate (3rd) went well enough, on pace dominated.

Race 3: Daimler Trucks Adelaide Handicap 1250m

Magnus Knight (1st) had a lovely run just off the speed and was too strong in the straight, going very well. Chapel City (2nd) had a nice run, showed a nice sprint once got out but winner was too strong. Galaxy Gazer (3rd) ran on strongly late, nice return. Call me Curtis (4th) had his chance, can’t be a betting proposition going forward.

Race 4: Action Line Marking Handicap 1000m

Bay Road (1st) led, gave a good kick, and has held on, great honest horse. Cashed (2nd) settled towards the rear and ran on strongly to just miss, good honest type. Invisible Girl (3rd) settles last and was only starting to pick up late, its racing pattern makes her hard to back with confidence going forward.

Race 5: Roadside Services & Solutions Handicap 1400m

Set to Sparkle (1st) got control up front and has held them off, she’s no star but I believe she is better when being able to roll along in front rather then going slow and making it a sprint home. Infinity Queen (2nd) has ran very well, was the only runner from worse than midfield to make ground. Optimize (3rd) and Scratchy Lass (4th) both had on pace favours.

Race 6: Delnorth Handicap 1400m

They went hard up front here. Cobber (1st) had a lovely run midfield, showed a nice sprint in the straight to take the lead and win well. Cayman Nites (2nd) ran on well late, promising return. All Bar Two (3rd) couldn’t keep up early, has ran on strongly late, still convinced this horse is flying.

Race 7: Plumbing & Pipeline Solutions Handicap 1550m

Kirona (1st) settled back at rear, was ridden for luck and didn’t have clear running early in the straight, once got out, attacked the line well to score, going well. Federal Court (2nd) was originally taken to the lead before the jockey decided to restrain, picked up again to show a nice sprint in the straight, nice run. Beau Rivage (3rd) settled at the rear and ran on well late.

Race 8: UBET Handicap 1250m

The Kah/Balfour show continued with Trupt (1st) settling at the rear and ran on strong off what looked a strong tempo to score, had the speed on to suit. Gogo Grace (2nd) ran on strongly late, had the pace to suit but still a nice return. Enki (3rd) had lovely run off the good tempo, had favours. Ballinaclash (5th) battled on well after setting the strong pace up front.
