La Pomme de Pin is a very speedy type who showed promise in her first prep, resumes here and has won a trial leading up to this, will lead and give a great sight. Thorondor has been good in both his career runs to date, maps to get a lovely run behind La Pomme de Pin and has race fitness on his side. Vietti was plain on debut, would need to improve here.

Race 4: Sabois + Benchmark 82 Handicap 2014m

Top Prospect has been solid in both Australian runs to date, finds another suitable race here and looks ready to peak. Silvera got the job done last start narrowly, meets a similar field here, maps to get the perfect run just off the speed, big player. Noumea resumes for the new trainer and looks to find a suitable race, must be respected.

Tricky race, staying out.

Race 5: Sabois 3YO Benchmark 70 Handicap 1050m

Air Guitar has been good in both career wins to date, has to step up again and will go back from the barrier but deserves respect. Lady Soma is also undefeated, has been dominant in both wins, big step up here and the drop in distance doesn’t look ideal but looks to have some talent and must respect the stable when they bring one to town. White Kaps is an honest on pacer who is going OK, should lead here and can give a great sight.

Race 6: Benchmark 82 Handicap 1050m

Belwazi comes here from Victoria where she has been racing well, dominant win last start, looks suited here, map is some query though. Removal is going OK, looks to find a suitable race here and maps well. Streetcar Illusion is going well enough, will settle back here, if there is speed on, he will be attacking the line strongly late.

Plenty of interstate form here, no betting interest.

Race 7: Benchmark 70 Handicap 1600m

Rat With Goldtooth is flying, dominant winner last start and meets a similar field here, has to contend with a wide barrier, if Potter can find a position, she will be very hard to beat. Royal Music was strong when winning on his Australian debut, can go on with it here. Star Patriot continues to race well, hard to see her turning the tables on Rat With Goldtooth but should be amongst the finish once again.

Rat With Goldtooth is clearly the one to beat but don’t want to get involved at the price on offer.

Race 8: Benchmark 70 Handicap 1200m

Disgraceful has been plain in both runs this prep, would have to improve here to win this, willing to risk. Hard Empire is an honest type racing well, looks suited here, maps well. Aspect mixes his form, was poor last start, if he brings his best, big player here. Sawaiki, Jackpot Johnny and With Gravy can all run well at odds.
