Race 1: Heineken 3 Port Adelaide Cup 2500m

Yogi was good last start in the Warrnambool cup, faces an easier task here and the step up in distance looks to suit, small field is not ideal but he’s a deserved favourite. Silent Warrior continues to race well, will be on speed here and give them something to catch, the distance is a concern. Mail It In was good when returning to some form last start, can go on with it here.

Yogi on top but no interest in the price on offer, staying out.

Race 2: M&J Chickens National Stakes 1200m

Tequila Time was good when winning once again last week, not sure the drop in distance suits here but can certainly win again. Secret Blaze was good last start, will go back here and be hitting the line well late. Be My Star was impressive on debut, must step up here but can with Kah staying on board.

Tough race, staying out.

Race 3: UBET SA Fillies Stakes 2500m

Pleasuring is an honest type, ran well in the Oaks two weeks back, finds an easier race here, has to run out the 2500m but is a leading chance. Miss Admiration also went well in the Oaks, will have to go well back from the barrier but will be hitting the line well late. Looks a two horse race and the market agrees.

No value here, don’t like getting involved in these staying races.

Race 4: EFEX Centaurea Stakes 2019m

Savapinski went hard in the lead last start, kicked clear and just got tired late, looks set to peak here third up over the 2000m, with an easier run on the speed, she should prove hard to catch. Tahanee was suited by the strong tempo last start when hitting the line well, can settle closer here up in distance but the barrier looks tricky. Lipstick Lover is flying and must be respected here.

Race 5: Robert & Fay Gerard R A Lee Stakes 1600m

Lite’n In My Veins was impressive when winning last start off a freshen up, looks to map well here and there’s no reason he can’t win again. Land of Plenty is flying, barrier looks tricky here but must be respected. Over Exposure was good last start stepping up to the mile for the first time, looks a big threat here. Arkham Knight not the worst at odds.

Race 6: UBET Proud Miss Stakes 1200m

She’s So High put in a nice effort last start, finds a suitable race here and is a leading chance. Creativity was dominant winning first up, finds another winnable race here and goes well 2nd up. Set to Sparkle was good last week, this is much tougher but can run well at good odds.

Wide open race, no betting interest.

Race 7: Darley Goodwood 1200m

Vega Magic is the class runner here, if he brings his best he probably wins, fly’s fresh, if ready to go, very hard to beat. Viddora is a quality Mare, did enough first up and goes well second up, has had a minor setback but the stable will have her ready to go here and she is a big player. Voodoo Lad always goes well fresh and is a big hope here at good odds.

Vega Magic on top but not willing to get involved with the price on offer, staying out.

Race 8: Chalk Hill Handicap 1200m

Blue Tycoon races well here, looks to find a suitable race, will be on speed and should give them something to catch. Comfortable is racing very well since coming over to the Ryan Balfour stable, finds a winnable race here. Disgraceful first up for the Clarken stable, Kah takes the ride, market watch.
