Race 1: UBET Handicap 1050m

Really Swish has ran well in both his runs this prep, finds a winnable race here, will be hitting the line well late. Dancer’s Kin continues to race well, deserves to break through. More Bricks comes here for the Weir camp, can lead them up here and give a good sight.

Tough race to kick off the day, staying out.

Race 2: John C Harris 70th Birthday Handicap 1200m

Whispering Brook was disappointing last start, never travelled in the run and did nothing on the straight, if she could reproduce her first up run here she should be winning but that’s an unknown. Sudden Wealth was very good first up, goes well second up, her racing pattern isn’t ideal, but she will be attacking the line strongly late. Mica Lil was impressive when winning first up, big step up here but can measure up.

Whispering Brook on top but no interest in the price on offer, staying out.

Race 3: John Young Handicap 2042m

Lipstick Lover was dominant when winning last start, the step up in distance looks no concern, this is a harder field but still the one to beat. Our Peaky Blinders has been racing well in Victoria, finds a winnable race here, should get a nice run just off the speed. Gracena is a nice type on the up, good win last start, must step up here but can measure up.

Tough race, no betting interest.

Race 4: Evright Handicap 1600m

Moghul Empire has been impressive in both wins this prep, looks very well placed again, can lead, and prove very hard to catch. Enki continues to race well, ultra consistent, will get a nice run just off the speed here and be amongst the finish. Lady Silhouette can run a good race at odds.

Race 5: Redelva Stakes 1100m

Holy Blade has been good winning in his past two Victorian starts, finds a winnable race here bit the step up to 1100m is a concern, willing to risk. Fancy Rumble was dominant when winning first up, can settle midfield here and will be strong late. Mintha is a very interesting runner resuming for the McEvoy stable, Kah taking the ride is a big push.

Race 6: Hughes Limousines R N Irwin Stakes 1100m

Viddora is a brilliant sprinter, resumes here and has trialled well leading up to this, if she’s fully wound up, very hard to beat. Snitty Kitty does not know how to run a bad race, flying this prep, should lead here and prove hard to catch. It’s Been a Battle can run a good race at the double figure odds.

Viddora on top but happy to just watch first up.

Race 7: Schweppervescene Stakes 1800m

Harmattan has shown a lot in her first prep, finds a winnable race here and maps well. Think Bleue continues to race well, barrier some concern here but still should run well. Inspirante has been very impressive winning her past two, big step up here but can measure up. Sopressa had no luck last start, can bounce back here.

Very tough race with a lot of interstate form, staying out.

Race 8: Bradley Painting Handicap 1100m

Via Balciano is a talented type resuming here, has had two trials leading up to this, the one to beat. Split Lip is a nice type who did enough when resuming, with natural improvement can run well here. Midnight Storm looked the winner last week right until being grabbed in the last stride, not sure where he lands from the awkward barrier but can run well. Akkacan can run a good race at odds.
