Race 1: Adelaide Galvanising 3YO Maiden Plate 1200m

Coppergate had every chance first up but still ran well enough, blinkers go on today, should lead and with natural improvement from the first up run he looks the one to beat. Leorbit is a talented type resuming for the astute stable, has won a trial leading up to this, big player. Always the King went well first up, can run well here.

Coppergate on top but no interest in the price, staying out.

Race 2: Impending new to Darley Handicap 1100m

Gytrash is a gelding I have a good opinion of, has impressed in both of his runs to date, looks to find a winnable race here. Tequila Time was dominant when winning first up, should settle just off the speed here and prove hard to hold out late. Secret Vega is a speedy type who can burn across to lead here and give a sight.

Race 3: Adelaide Festival of Racing 5-19 May Handicap 1050m

Despatch was dominant when winning first up, must step up here and gets a negative jockey change but will settle on the speed and should be amongst the finish. Split Lip is a talented type resuming for the astute stable, Kah takes the ride which is a big push and the horse goes well fresh, big chance. Fancy Rumble is a nice type resuming, if there’s speed on up front can finish over the top of them late.

Good race but tricky, staying out.

Race 4: Ribchester new to Darley Handicap 1200m

Peretti is an interesting resumer here, was heavily backed when breaking through last prep but then was only plain is previous start, market watch. Shall We Hope is racing very well this prep, can lead here and give a great sight. Kesan and Freedom Road can both be big improvers here second up.

Tough race, no betting interest.

Race 5: Fleurieu Milk Company Handicap 1200m

Entrancing is a talented type who hasn’t put a foot wrong this prep, finds another suitable race here, will settle on the speed and give them something to catch. Callisto Girl doesn’t know how to run a bad race, ran into the flying Mazurek last start, will be on speed here and run her usual honest race. Miss Cuoco is flying, had no luck last start, she’s a different horse at Gawler but still a big threat here.

No betting interest here, staying out.

Race 6: 13CABS Handicap 1600m

Moghul Empire is a talented type on the up, has been dominant in his past two starts and just keeps improving, finds a suitable race here, can lead or sit just off the speed and prove very hard to beat. Daktari is flying, barrier a concern here but still must be considered. Savanero is an honest on pacer who can burn across here from the wide barrier and has each way claims.

2.5 units – Moghul Empire @ $2.15

Race 7: Manihi Classic 1100m

Whispering Brook was dominant when winning first up at Moonee Valley, looks to face a very similar if not easier field here, should lead and prove extremely hard to catch. Alta Stella was really impressive winning first up, will settle on speed here and run well. Concealer did enough when resuming, can run well here. Sudden Wealth not the worst at odds.

Race 8: Laelia Stakes 1600m

Palazzo Vecchio has been racing well in Victoria, Kah takes the ride but the map looks awkward, looks unders. Glam Guru is a smart type who ran into the very smart Over Exposure last start, big chance here. Mo Femme is a nice type who just knows how to win, not the worst here.

Tough race with lots of interstate form, no betting interest.

Race 9: UBET Handicap 1800m

Lipstick Lover comes here for the Weir camp from Victoria, wasn’t doing much until putting in a dominant performance last start at Sandown, if can reproduce that he is a deserved favourite here. Here Comes Lenni looks a talented type on the up and the stable know how to produce a good 3YO, right in this. Tahnee Tiara is racing well this prep but must step up here.
