El Desperado is an honest type racing well this prep, maps well just off the speed, finds a winnable race. Phelps Glory has been contesting stronger races this prep but hasn’t shown much, willing to risk. Tambang Besi got the job done comfortably first up, should lead here and give a sight.

Tricky race to kick off the day, staying out.

Race 2: Sugar Financial Services Classic Hurdle 3600m

Hurdle race, no interest.

Race 3: Sidewood Estate Benchmark 75 Handicap 1100m

Evil Dreams is an honest on pacer who has come back well this prep, should hold them out from the inside barrier and give them something to catch. Mr Liberty went well first up at Sandown, should improve from the run and be competitive here. Zalmona is an honest sprinter, should get a nice run in transit here and be hitting the line well late.

Tough race, staying out.

Race 4: O’Leary Walker Wines Benchmark 82 Handicap 1400m

Tatoosh has come back well this prep, nice type with some upside but willing to risk here with its racing pattern and the negative jockey change. Lady Silhouette is a nice type who did enough first up, will take improvement from the run, should get a nice run in transit. Devilishly is an honest on pacer who should burn across from the wide barrier and give them something to catch.

Race 6: Harcourt Adelaide Hills Oakbank Cup 2150m

We’re So Lucky is an honest stayer who always runs a good race, should sit on the speed here and prove hard to catch. Ashlee Marie another honest type, will most likely lead here and should be amongst the finish. Ace Attack continues to race well, distance looks some concern here. Flying Casino is as inconsistent as they come but if he’s in the right mood, can run a race which is good enough to win this, has won at the track before which is a positive.

Race 7: Triple M Country Cup 1900m

Lieder had favours last start but still got the job done, rise in distance looks to suit, can win. Saturday Sorcerer is an honest on pacer who rarely runs a bad race, has won at the track before, can give them something to catch. Bertwhistle is racing well, will settle towards the rear here but should be hitting the line well late.

Looks a lottery this race, staying out.

Race 8: UBET Oakbank Stakes 1100m

Benz has opened up favourite here and I’m willing to risk him, hasn’t won for a long time and not sure he has come back the same horse this prep, looks unders. Riziz hasn’t done too much this prep but loves it here at Oakbank, looks to map well, can show big improvement. Bay Road is an honest on pacer who always goes well fresh, should be amongst the finish here. Arkham Knight is a talented type who didn’t have the best of luck in a strong race when resuming, has won here at Oakbank in the past, just not convinced the drop in distance suits.

Good race but very tough, staying out.

Race 9: Melt Pizzeria Benchmark 64 Handicap 1050m

Akkacan is racing well this prep, looks suited here, should get a nice run just off the speed. Beautiful Bee is a nice type who looks to have some upside, willing to risk here with the negative jockey change. Kabini is a filly I have an opinion of, liked what she did in her first prep, if can find some cover from the wide barrier, can hit the line well late. Jayeffkay is a talented type resuming off a long break, can certainly win this race, big market watch.
