Rosehill Review 11-Nov-17

Race 1: #THERACES Handicap 1100m

On pace dominated. Dynamited (1st) sat outside the leader and has been too strong late, good debut. Secret Lady (2nd) showed good gate speed to lead, gave a kick, winner was too strong, good debut. Not much to say about the rest.

Race 2: Schweppes Handicap 1500m

Unforgotten (1st) settled back towards the rear, let down well in the straight and has been way too good for this lot, looks a smart and progressive type. Cajetan (2nd) and Destiny’s Own (3rd) have both ran well but no match the winner.

Race 3: TAB.com.au Handicap 2400m

Not much to say about this lot, Vassal (1st) had a nice run and has got the job done. None of these look to have any upside.

Race 4: Cellarbrations Handicap 1100m

Bon Amis (1st) was heavily backed, has led and was never in doubt to score a soft win, probably a better horse when it gets cover, looks very smart and can keep winning. Blowing Kisses (2nd) ran on well. Curdled (3rd) also ran on well, good return. Hillary Step (5th) was caught wide on the speed and has battled on well.

Race 5: Hyland Race Colours Handicap 1800m

Intueri (1st) had a lovely run just off the speed and has fought on well in the straight to score. Very bunched finish here and I would be careful following the form out of this race.

Race 6: TAB Highway Handicap 1400m

Tiger by the Tale (1st) had the perfect run throughout and has been too strong late, had favours. Highway Sixtysix (3rd) was a strong drifter in the market, led and kicked, stablemate was just too strong. Roseito (2nd) was the only horse to make ground from midfield or worse, good run.

Race 7: Australian Turf Club Handicap 1500m

Just Dreaming (1st) had a lovely run just off the speed, was held up on straightening but once got some clear air, let down well to win. Dagny (2nd) sat on the speed and has fought on well. Stonebrook (5th) pulled up with post race issues.

Race 8: 2018 ATC Membership Now Open Sprint 1200m

Machinegun Jubs (1st) had a lovely run just off the speed, and has knuckled down well late to score, had favours but does have ability. Zonk (2nd) led and kicked, just grabbed late, I prefer him over 1100m. In Times of War (3rd) loomed as the winner again but couldn’t go on with it, you can’t be backing this horse going forward.

Race 9: Show Some Betiquette Handicap 1300m

Redouble (1st) had a nice run and has let down well in the straight and has scored a soft win, can go on with it. Dreamforce (2nd) led and gave a good kick, winner was just too strong late, beat the rest comfortably. Barthelona (3rd) looked good to the eye but had a perfect run in transit.
