Rosehill Review 2-Dec-17

Race 1: Book Summer Hospitality Today Plate 1100m

Perfect Pitch (1st) sat behind the leader and kept coming in the straight to get up in the last stride, just did enough. Miss Invincible (2nd) led, looked to be struggling early in the straight, but kept finding to just go down late, nice debut. Toulouse (3rd) ran on well late. Not sure about this race going forward.

Race 2: 2018 ATC Membership Now Open Sprint 1200m

Epidemic (1st) sat outside the leader, took over on straightening, got very tired late but got the job done. Curdled (2nd) kept coming in the straight. Equal Balance (3rd) had the right run. Junglized (4th) was disappointing.

Race 3: TAB.com.au Handicap 2400m

Imperial Aviator (1st) had the right run just behind the speed, got the split on straightening and was the strongest late. Great Glen (2nd) led and kept kicking. Last Wish (3rd) ran on well from the rear.

Race 4: TAB Highway Handicap 1200m

Volpe (1st) settled worse than midfield, never got out until the 150m mark, before letting down well to win with ease. Rugenbrau (2nd) settled towards the rear and ran on well late. Shelley Beach Road (3rd) sat wide on speed and kept kicking in the straight. Takookacod (9th) never got clear running, forgive.

Race 5: Boxing Day at Royal Randwick Handicap 1500m

Sedanzer (1st) had the perfect run just off the speed, peeled out in the straight and put them away to win well, promising type. Hunter Jack (2nd) has gone well first up. Cellarman (3rd) ran on well late, is going well. Redouble (4th) kept finding in the straight.

Race 6: ATC Cup 2000m

Broadside (1st) had the right run just off the speed, travelled up strongly and has gone on to win well, good return. Lord Kingsley (2nd) settled last and has ran on well late, horse is going very well. Montauk (3rd) has gone well enough, can keep improving further into his prep.

Race 7: Festival Stakes 1500m

Testashadow (1st) sat midfield and kept coming in the straight to just get up. Mister Sea Wolf (2nd) has gone well first up, kept coming late to just miss, convinced he’s the best horse in this race. Red Excitement (3rd) ran on well late.

Race 8: Starlight Stakes 1100m

Egyptian Symbol (1st) sat wide with cover towards the rear, pulled to the outside on straightening and let down strongly to win well, good return. Glenall (2nd) sat just behind the speed, had to go back to what was probably the worst part of the track at this stage of the day, nice effort. Isorich (3rd) sat on the speed and kept finding in the straight, honest type.

Race 9: ATC Owners Benefit Card Handicap 1300m

Uptown Lad (1st) settles towards the rear, got out to the best ground in the straight, let down well to pull away, way too good for them, nice return. Level Eight (2nd) got to the best part of the track to run on well. Powerline (3rd) couldn’t find the best part of the track, but has battled on well, good run.
