Rosehill Review 4-Nov-17
Race 1: Lack Group – West Tradies Plate 1100m
Neutrality (1st) has put in an impressive debut, showed great gate speed and was simply too fast for them, looks to be a progressive type. Stunts (2nd) has ran well again and won’t be a maiden for too much longer.
Race 2: CFMEU Mining Handicap 1300m
Unforgotten (1st) couldn’t go with the early but has showed a nice turn of foot to be too strong for them late, in great form. Beacon (2nd) was pressured in front and has given a good kick in the straight. Marsupial (3rd) has gone well enough. Rekindled Force (4th) disappointing.
Race 3: AMWU Handicap 1100m
Pomelo (1st) had a nice run behind the speed and has been too strong late, can go on with it. Ozark (2nd) settled at the rear and has ran on well. Best Guess (3rd) has gone OK, would of preferred if the jockey came to the outside.
Race 4: Turner Freeman Handicap 1800m
Black on Gold (1st) settled back at the rear, rails run appeared on straightening and has kept coming in the straight to score a tough win. New Tipperary (2nd) has gone well, honest type. Collateral (5th) and Dark Eyes (6th) both very disappointing.
Race 5: TAB Highway Handicap 1200m
O’Lordy (1st) settled back and the gaps have appeared in the straight to be too strong late, good return. Realing (2nd) has flashed home late, also a good return. Equal Balance (6th) has gone enormous, caught wide the trip, and has only knocked up late, big run.
Race 6: The Lidoran Group Handicap 1800m
Carzoff (1st) and Lord Kingsley (2nd) has both had good runs midfield and fought out the finish with Carzoff getting the head down on the line, not much to say going forward. Impavido (3rd) had too much work to do from the rear.
Race 7: Blacktown Workers Handicap 1100m
Slow Burn (1st) has controlled the race sitting outside the leader and has been too strong for them late, class above. Gwenneth (3rd) had on pace favours. In Times of War (4th) blew its chances when missing the start, forgive.
Race 8: Bradford Soundscreen Handicap 1200m
Zumbelina (1st) was heavily backed, got the right run midfield and has been too strong late, good honest type. Magic Alibi (2nd) and My Country (3rd) had nice runs and have run well, just no match to the winner.
Race 9: Bradford Solar Handicap 1400m
They went hard here, backmarkers were advantaged. Wayanka (1st) settled back last and has run over the top of them in the straight, going well. Gambler’s Blues (2nd) has gone well, struggling to win though. Siren’s Fury (4th) was held up at a vital stage and arguably should have gone very close.
Horses to Follow
Stunts – Won’t be a maiden for much longer.
Equal Balance – Has gone enormous, will be winning a highway race soon.
