Race 1: Cameron Thurley’s Bucks Day Plate 1000m
Written By (1st) sat wide on the speed, kept holding them off in the straight and pulled away late, nice debut. Sanctimonious (2nd) sat just off the speed and kept grinding to the line in the straight, look for him to improve stepping up in distance. Logan River (3rd) sat on the speed, gave a good kick, just knocked up late. Seberate (4th) attacked the line well late.
Race 2: Chandler Macloed Handicap 1300m
Memory Bank (1st) led, gained control of the race, and has held them off in the straight. Holy Freeze (2nd) sat behind the leader/winner and kept grinding to the line in the straight. Kasi Farasi (3rd) sat just off the speed, had limited room in the straight, kept hitting the line. Poet’s Corner (4th) sat outside the leader and battled on well enough.
Race 3: Clanbrooke Racing Handicap 1600m
On pace dominated. Mrs Gardenia (1st) box seated, got the rails run on straightening and has gone on to win well. Heavenly Descent (2nd) sat outside the leader, kept battling away in the straight. Fudged (3rd) led, no match the top two, knocked up late, had every chance. La Fleurette (4th) was running on strongly late.
Race 4: Spicer Thoroughbreds Handicap 1600m
Vinland (1st) settled worse than midfield, travelled up to them under a hold and put them away in one stride, untouched, a class above. Atone (2nd) settled towards the rear and ran on late. Grand Casino (3rd) also ran on well from the rear, the strong tempo suited the backmarkers.
Race 5: United Petroleum Handicap 1400m
Silent General (1st) settled towards the rear, had limited room for most of the straight, but once got in clear air showed a nice turn of foot to put them away, nice effort. Jvala (2nd) ran on strongly late from the rear. They cleared out from the rest. Thought Blunakka (4th) battled on well in the straight.
Race 6: Sheen Group Handicap 1000m
Miss Wonderland (1st) sat just behind the speed, looked to be only battling early in the straight and wanted to hang in, but picked up well to hit the line strongly late to score, great return. Sprightly Lass (2nd) showed great speed to lead and kick clear, seems a nice type.
Race 7: Le Pine Funerals Handicap 1000m
Jungle Edge (1st) sat on the speed, was holding them off and has pulled away late to win comfortably, tough honest type, had conditions to suit. Thermal Current (2nd) sat towards the rear and ran on well late. Gun Case (3rd) led, kept finding in the straight, just knocked up late.
Race 8: Ladbrokes Handicap 1800m
Night’s Watch (1st) sat towards the rear, made a wide move approaching the turn, travelled up strongly and really dug in the last 100m to score, strong win. Guizot (2nd) sat midfield on the rails and got a great rails run on straightening, battled on well but had the perfect run. Long Time Ago (3rd) sat outside the leader and battled on well in the straight.
Race 9: Schweppes Handicap 1300m
Widgee Turf (1st) was caught very wide the entire race, travelled well on straightening, and showed a great turn of foot to catch the leaders and pull away to win with ease, big win. Moonlover (2nd) led, pulled out to the better ground, and gave a good kick, no match the winner but beat the rest easily. Forbidden Kisses (3rd) looks to have gone well, battled on well in what looked to be the worst part of the track.
