It's the final of three consecutive Group 1 Saturdays of racing for the Adelaide Racing Carnival with the $1,000,000 The Goodwood over 1200m including Western Australian runners Amelia's Jewel and Oscar's Fortune (who ran 2nd and 3rd in the $5,000,000 The Quokka last start) plus a host of other quality sprinters. It will be a fantastic race. The Group 3 $220,000 The Cummings Stakes is a fairly open race with good milers including Pounding, Jimmy The Bear and Second To Nun. Positivity is the favourite in the Group 3 $170,000 SA Fillies Classic.

The feature in Queensland is the Group 2 $500,000 Hollindale Stakes and the meeting normally at the Gold Coast is being held at Sunshine Coast for the second year in a row. The early favourite is Huetor who was runner-up last year to Zaaki and comes off a win in the JRA Plate. If he wins it will give Annabel Neasham her 4th Hollindale in a row. Kovalica & Just Folk appear the dangers. There are 3 Group 3 races and two Listed races but it is expected to be a bog heavy track.

The main meeting in NSW was set to be at Gosford but has been transferred to Newcastle because of the rain and heavy track conditions. The features are the $500,000 The Coast plus the Listed $300,000 Gosford Gold Cup and the Listed $250,000 Takeover Target Stakes.
