The main racing in Queensland today is at Ipswich where there are 3 Listed races. In the $250,000 Ipswich Cup the 3 horses that ran the trifecta last year will all line up again. Regal Lion will attempt his second win - something that hasn't happened since Our Lukas won in 2009 and 2010. Runners in the $200,000 Eye Liner Stakes came through a variety of different races with Wategos the favourite ahead of Fancify, Jigsaw and Blaze A Trail. There is a capacity field in the $160,000 Gai Waterhouse Classic where the betting is wide open. Gai doesn't have a runner in it this year, but Tony Gollan has five.

At Belmont the feature is the Listed $125,000 Belmont Guineas for 3YOs where Brave Spirit is the favourite after his win in the Raconteur Stakes.
