At Belmont there is the $200,000 Group 3 Strickland Stakes which is the last Group race of the racing year in Western Australia. A small field of 7 are contesting the 2000m race and is the trickiest race of the day as several are having their first try at the distance.

Last years winner Dragonstone returns to defend his title in the $160,000 Listed Bob Charley AO Stakes at Randwick and is one of 3 runners for trainer Joe Pride. He is one of several chances and currently all runners are $4.40 or longer.
