Once again, the focus is on Randwick where there are 6 Group races including 2 Group 1s. The $1,500,000 Group 1 All Aged Stakes has a talented field of 12 including 2022 winner Cascadian and 2021 winner Kolding. Zaaki resumes and Giga Kick is the early favourite, while the track conditions could favour Roch 'N' Horse & Mazu. 12 2YOs will line up for the $600,00 Group 1 Champagne Stakes where Chris Waller, James Cummings, Waterhouse/Bott and the Snowdens all have 2 runners each.
At Ascot there are 10 races and the main features are the $500,000 Group 2 Karrakatta Plate for 2YOs with a couple of potential superstar 2yos engaged in Live To Tell and Super Smink, plus the inaugural running of the $4,000,000 The Quokka where there has been controversy over a redraw for barriers which has seen the brilliant 3YO filly Amelia's Jewel now starting from the outside barrier. It should be a fantastic race.
Morphettville also has 10 races with the Group 3 Auraria Stakes for 3YO fillies, the Port Adelaide Guineas and the Dequetteville Stakes for 2YOs. At Eagle Farm there are 2 Listed races with the $160,000 Daybreak Lover for 3YOs and the Ascot Quality Handicap that has attracted some terrific sprinters including Rothfire, Zoustyle and Prince Of Boom. The feature at Sandown is the $200,000 Listed Galilee Series Final over 2400m for 3YOs.
