1. OPERATE A BETTING BANK

The reason many punters fail is they do not adhere to the same strategies professionals use to succeed. All professionals have a betting bank, and keep this completely separate from their day-to-day finances. The funds should stay in bookmaker and TAB accounts - the separation from your daily finances helps you to keep focused. A betting bank is also necessary so that you stake appropriately with your betting bank and avoid ever being wiped out and having to add funds to your bank.

2. STAKE CONSISTENTLY

Another error most punters make is following flawed staking plans. Progressive and regressive staking plans that increase or decrease based on previous results are mathematically flawed, as is level staking where you bet the same amount on favourites as you do on outsiders. Proportionate staking to your rated price, or if you don’t have a rated price, at least the market price, is advised to balance your risk/return and reduce variance and the risk of losing your entire bank.

Big week also for Luke Murrell's Tips members, with the highlight of the week was War Saint saluting at Ascot on Friday paying $2.70. We now sit at a massive 103.9 units profit over the past 2 months.

Another profitable week for WA Tips & Ratings members driven by a good day Saturday (Velago $4.70 & Double Bubble $2.84). This service has made 29.3 units profit in just the past 11 weeks since joining Winning Edge.

Winning week for Trial Spy members. We closed out the week in style on Sunday with our one each way play Kid Galahad leading all the way at Nowra paying $5.20. We now sit at a massive 143 units profit over the past 11 months.

Minor loss for NSW Tips & Ratings members, the luckless Into The Abyss at $3.45 was the difference between a winning or losing week. Also a minor loss for NRL Tips members.

Small loss across the weekend for AFL Tips members. No result for Golf members at the RBC Heritage.

No luck for Blackbook Bets members this week with each way plays Murrawee at $63 and Going Gaga at $12 both running 4th. Dean's Tips members had a number of winners but were unlucky with Sony Legend at $31 and Impulse Diavolo $34 both running narrow 2nds beaten in phtos at big odds. Despite the losing week we sit at 30.7 units profit over the past 7 weeks.

Losing week for John's Analytics members, but Model 5 has delivered 20.9 units profit in under 9 weeks.
